YOUTH WORKER
Hours: 15 hours 2 days per week (with potential to increase in the future) Flexible working required to include some Saturdays
Salary: £19,184 to £22,278 per annum pro rata

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new post within our Children and Young People's Service to work directly with young people to offer guidance and support, raise aspirations and help to remove barriers to successful transition from children's to adult services. The role will act as the specialist advisor on all young people's issues within EllenorLions Hospices, and provide support to all services and support / advocacy for young people aged 11-24 years with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

EllenorLions Hospices is a specialist palliative care provider for children and young people across the London Borough of Bexley and North West Kent, offering acute oncology and palliative care including the provision of Short Breaks. The organisation also provides comprehensive hospice care for adults across North West Kent. For many years, the organisation has been at the forefront of Transition care, helping young people to move seamlessly into adult services. We are now looking to develop this work by appointing a dedicated Youth Worker to take the lead on all our young people's issues. The scope of the role will include the Transition project working across the whole of West Kent PCT.

If you have relevant experience in youth work, an enthusiastic attitude and are ready for a new challenge, this could be the role for you. In return, we offer a supportive team environment in which to work and the opportunity for development of the project.
