Tell us if you or your community group are planning an event, and we’ll let people know about it here on our website, in our e-newsletter and on our Twitter and Facebook feeds.
And once the event has happened make sure to let us know how you got on. Send us a report and pictures for us to share with everyone else.
There has already been a fantastic response to the Appeal and lots of amazing people are doing lots of amazing things.:
Simon Stevens our running policeman from Sidcup has challenged himself to have run 2012 miles by the start of the Olympics. After 81 days he has already completed 495 miles and has just signed up for a 100km run next May. By the way, Simon hates running!
Three EllenorLions nurses and our Medical Director have skydived from 14,000 feet; and in December, Martin Gausden is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Wilmington Grammar School for Boys are taking part in our firewalk, whilst their counterparts at Gravesend Grammar are holding a balloon release. Sainsbury’s and M&S are two of the many local businesses that are holding bucket collections, organising de-clutter days and a myriad of other activities.
But, there’s still a long way to go and many opportunities for you to get involved over the next 12 months.
Together, we can have lots of fun and raise lots of money for an outstanding cause.
